Oatley Heritage and Historical Society

Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)

—Speaker, I rise today to acknowledge the Oatley Heritage and Historical Society who have recently created an outstanding book entitled "A Place Called Oatley." This is an outstanding read for anybody who is interested in the history of the Oatley community. It features a number of amazing facts, statistics and personal stories designed for people of all ages to enjoy. I have lived in the area all of my life and I was still able to learn something new on every page. I would like to thank Vice President Julian Sheen for his role in putting this fantastic piece together. I know how much time and effort he has put into this project and for that our entire community is very grateful. I would also like to mention President Laurie Yeomans, Vice President Graham Lalchere, Treasurer Geoff Ingram and Secretary Rodger Robertson for all of their hard work in getting this project off the ground. Well done to everyone at the Oatley Heritage and Historical Society, I cannot wait to see what you put together next.
