Oatley Lions Club

Mr MARK COURE (Oatley) (18:14:06):I acknowledge the wonderful work of Oatley Lions Club for its fantasticend to 2020 with its Annual Charity Golf Day and Bush Bash Project, both of whichraised money for charity. The Annual Charity Golf Day in 2020 raised $13,000 for charity, which included money for children's cancer research, the St George HospitalNeonatal Special Care Nursery and the Lions Operation Smile project. The Bush Bash Project saw members head out to Central West New South Wales to help drought-affected communities by giving them gift cards to purchase essentialitems and Christmas goods. They were also able to provide to local children over 300 Christmas gifts, whichwere very kindly donated by students at Oatley and Oatley West Publicschools. I thank a number of community businesses and organisationsincluding Club Rivers, Georges River Council andThe Rotary Club of Hurstville forhelping sponsor the projects. It goes to show that the community spirit of our region is alive and well. Ilook forward to seeing another great year for the Oatley Lions Club this year.
