Peakhurst South Public 2020 School Leaders

Mr MARK COURE (Oatley)

—I would like to congratulate the newly elected school leaders for 2020 at Peakhurst South Public School, one of the local primary schools in my electorate of Oatley. To be elected as a school leader, is an opportunity for children to understand the qualities that make for a good leader as well as help students develop skills, such as confidence in public speaking, communication and leadership styles. Which are all important life skills, they will most certainly use and develop throughout High School and the work place. I commend the teaching team and principal at Peakhurst South Public School, Ms Felicity Young, for allowing the elected students to experience and learn from this great opportunity. I had the pleasure of meeting with the new student leaders, Captains, Robert Mansour and Emma Watts and Vice Captains, Daniel Hayek and Samantha Aley; and I wish them all the best in their roles this year, and their journey into High School next year.
