Riverwood Commuter Car Park January 2022

To support the construction of the Riverwood Commuter Car Park, investigation work will take place between Monday 24 and Friday 28 January 2022.

Member for Oatley, Mark Coure, said the Riverwood Commuter Car Park is providing much needed parking relief for local commuters, reducing traffic congestion and creating easier access to Riverwood Station.

“Riverwood has been in desperate need of additional parking for years and it is fantastic to see that this project is now progressing and being delivered for the local community,”

Mr Coure said.

“Key benefits of this project include rooftop solar panels, lift access, Park&Ride operated boom gates and scope for electric vehicle charging spaces.”

“The Riverwood Commuter Car Park will free up more parking spaces on local roads and allow commuters to access the station easier and more safely.”

Transport for NSW is delivering approximately 140 additional commuter parking spaces at Riverwood to provide the community with more convenient access to public transport and reduce congestion on our roads.

As part of the investigation work, workers will be on site from Monday 24 to Friday 28 January 2022 between 7am and 6pm, weather permitting.

If any additional work is required outside of these hours, the community will be notified in advance.

Some parking spaces in the Webb Street car park will be closed to provide a safe working area.

Signage will be in place to advise of the changes and work will be completed in stages to minimise impacts to parking.

Construction on the multi-storey car park is planned to commence in mid-2022 and is expected to be completed by mid-2023.
