Nominations open for 2025 St George Community Awards

Member for Oatley, Mark Coure, has officially opened nominations for the 15th Annual St George Community Awards, celebrating outstanding individuals, community groups, and local businesses.

“This year marks a very special milestone for the Awards, now in its 15th year. I encourage everyone to consider nominating a local hero who deserves recognition,” Mr Coure said.

“These awards are all about the people and groups in our community who work quietly behind the scenes, dedicating their time, energy and talents to help others.”

Mr Coure emphasised that volunteering is one of the strongest pillars of the St George community.

“By acknowledging our wonderful volunteers, we not only thank them for their service, but also hopefully inspire others to step up and give back to their community.”

“The Awards feature a wide range of categories, so that people from every area of community life are recognised, from sport and education, to cultural activities and emergency services.”

“I’m proud to say that over the years, we have given out more than 1000 St George Community Awards to local individuals, businesses and community groups.”

Nominations can be submitted online at: www.markcoure.com.au/st-george-community-awards-nomination or by obtaining a paper form, available by visiting Mr Coure’s Office at 24 Pitt St, Mortdale.

Nominations close at 5pm on Monday, 30 September 2025. An official award ceremony will be held in October, with recipients and their families invited to attend.
