Multiculturalism March

Mr Mark Coure today welcomed the start of Multicultural March, a month-long celebration of our diverse, harmonious and multicultural community.

Multicultural March is a state-wide program of activities including concerts, street markets, sports competitions and awards.

Mr Coure said the NSW Government was determined to help make our community even stronger and more harmonious.

“With more than 50 per cent of people either born overseas or having one parent born overseas, NSW is one of the most culturally diverse societies in the world,” Mr Coure said.

“I would encourage people from all walks of life to get involved and celebrate our unique cultural diversity this Multicultural March.

The Premier’s Harmony Dinner is the highlight of the Multicultural March celebrations. Tickets for the not-to-be-missed event are selling fast, with more than a thousand tickets already sold.

The Premier’s Harmony Dinner is proudly supported by ACPPRC, B1 Group, Kaden Boriss, Settlement Services International, Village Plaza Shepherds Bay, Sydney Airport, media partner SBS, and venue partner Rosehill Gardens.

Other major events this Multicultural March include National Harmony Day, the City of Sydney’s Living in Harmony Festival, the Comedy vs Racism debate at Sydney Town Hall, the VOICE of Sydney talent show, the Light Up Newcastle Lantern Walk and the Socceroos’ vs Jordan.
