Mark Coure visits the Riverwood Commuter Carpark Construction Site

Member for Oatley, Mark Coure, recently visited the site of the brand-new Riverwood Commuter carpark to get an update on the progress of the construction currently taking place.

"It is fantastic to see that construction is well-underway here at Riverwood. Where I am standing right now will soon be transformed into a 140 additional parking spaces, which is a big win for the community!" Mr Coure said.

"Since being elected in 2011, I have worked tirelessly with the community to deliver more commuter carparking in Riverwood and in Beverly Hills. I am thrilled that this project is roaring ahead and I want to thank everyone who supported the construction of this important piece of infrastructure."

The multi-storey carpark will include lift access, CCTV cameras, lighting, electric car chargers, solar panels and opal card operated boom gates.

The Riverwood Commuter carpark is aiming to be open to the public by the middle of next year.

This carpark is fantastic news for the community as it will help to alleviate parking pressures on local roads in and around Riverwood, enabling local residents to get where they need to go quicker and easier.
